The long-term pair, who have been together since their teenage years, announced their engagement on Tuesday.
Fans are getting a behind-the-scenes peek at Patrick Mahomes’ proposal thanks to Brittany Matthews.
The 25-year-old Matthews showed off the romantic method in which the 24-year-old quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs proposed on Wednesday by posting a number of images on her Instagram Story.
A video shows Matthews and Mahomes entering a room together at Arrowhead Stadium, where the football player had put up a lavish display with lights and marquee letters that said, “Will You Marry Me.” The pair was present at the stadium to watch Mahomes get his Super Bowl ring.
Other photos included Matthew commenting, “Y’all are the greatest besties,” and thanking her two friends, Lacey McKay and Sydni Paige, for being there. There was also a photo of her with her fiancé, Jackson Mahomes. Matthews replied to the younger Mahomes, saying, “Thank you for everything you did to help.” “I’m really happy you could attend. I cherish you.”

Matthews also posted a ton of pictures from her engagement surprise on Instagram on Wednesday. In them, she can be seen grinning broadly next to her soon-to-be husband.
She started the caption for her photo, “On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us.” It’s always me and you, it’s always us. I will never forget the words you spoke to me right then, as you stared directly into my eyes! You completely stole my breath away, made this day amazing, and there is nothing more than what I could have envisioned.”
“I love you, forever and always,” she said in closing. We toast to a lifetime spent together and an unbreakable bond🥂.”

Matthews previously shared an Instagram Story image of a lovely dinner table set by candles and captioned it, “My heart is so full! I adore this man dearly, and tonight was just exceptional.”
“It’s impossible to imagine this day being any better,” the former soccer player continued.
Mahomes and Matthews, who met while attending Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, have been dating since their teenage years. Matthews currently owns her own fitness business, Brittany Lynn Fitness. In 2013, the couple went to prom together.
The couple has two dogs, Steel and Silver, a pit bull and a cane corso, and they both reside in Kansas City.
