However, according to snopes.com (a website that specializes in correcting fake news on the Internet), in the process of citing news, people were confused about this flower. RocketNews cites information from a Japanese blog called Karapaіa. This blog is about a 2007 story published by Today’s Zaman, supposedly based on a local news article, published in Anatolia.

In the process of quoting each other, a series of mistakes gradually led to the birth of rumors about black roses that only grow in Turkey.

So far, no one has found evidence of black roses growing naturally in Turkey or anywhere in the world. The only species that come close to black roses are the deep red black magic roses or baccarat roses.

This flower is also known as Karagül in Turkish. They have a very special aroma, which is why they become expensive business items.
